Hi all,
I wanted to do something meaningful—something that genuinely makes the world a little better. When I learned what local families living with Parkinson’s are facing, I knew I had to help.
Parkinson’s is the fastest‑growing neurological disease in the world, yet most families in our community are navigating it with limited support, limited information, and limited access to affordable resources. The diagnosis affects far more than movement—it impacts emotional health, financial stability, caregiver stress, and daily independence. Many families don’t know where to turn. They struggle to find reliable education, specialized exercise programs, mental‑health support, and a sense of community. Care partners often carry the weight alone, leading to burnout and deep isolation.
As cases continue to rise, the gap between what families need and what the healthcare system can provide is widening. Without local, compassionate support, families are left to manage a complex, lifelong disease on their own—right when they most need connection.
That’s why I chose to step up as a Pose for Parkinson’s model in support of PJ Parkinson’s Support. Their work to reduce isolation, ease caregiver burnout, and rebuild community connection creates stronger, connected lives, active, engaged families, and life beyond diagnosis—and you can be part of that impact.
